Wuling Bingo SUV entered Chinese market

The new Wuling Bingo SUV with a 5-seat interior has entered the Chinese market with a starting price of 75,800 yuan (10,750 USD). The funky crossover from the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture offers up to 510 km of range and a peak power of 75 kW (100 hp).

The Wuling Bingo SUV is part of the rapidly growing Bingo series under the mentioned brand. Previously, Wuling launched the Bingo two-door hatchback and its four-door variant, Bingo Plus. Now, the Bingo Plus has been reincarnated into the Bingo SUV.

More on Wuling Bingo SUV

The Wulign Bingo SUV stands on the same platform as the Bingo Plus. It is the Tianyu M modular architecture suitable for EVs with body lengths of 3500 – 4600 mm. You can easily tell this car is part of the Bingo series by its exterior styling. The Bingo SUV has oval-shaped headlights, a minimalistic front bumper, and a sleek body shape.

Aside from being cute, the Bingo SUV looks bulky due to its high beltline and small R15 wheels. But blackened pillars, a roof, and side-view mirrors make it a bit cooler. The Bingo SUV has four body shades: white, red, gray, and green. Its dimensions are 4090/1720/1575 mm with a wheelbase of 2610 mm. So, it is a small crossover for in-city commutes.

Regardless of its dimensions, the Bingo SUV’s interior can surprise you with its features. It has 23 storage spaces all over the cabin. The second-row passengers have up to 882 mm of legroom. And if you want to fit more stuff in the car, you can fold the second-row seats to increase the trunk capacity to 1,450 L.

Of course, there are some drawbacks. The Bingo SUV doesn’t have a frunk. And there is no armrest or a central headrest in the second row. The center console of this cute crossover has a touchscreen powered by Ling OS. It also has four airbags.

Wuling Bingo SUV specs and prices

The Wuling Bingo SUV goes standard with a single electric motor mounted in the front. Its peak power reaches 75 kW (100 hp). The peak torque is 180 Nm. As a result, the Bingo SUV can speed up to 50 km/h in 3.7 seconds. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time is yes.

There are three LFP battery options to choose from. The entry-level car has a 31.9 kWh pack for a 330 km range. The next battery offers 37.9 kWh and 401 km of CLTC range. The top-trim car is equipped with a 50.6 kWh battery for a 510 km range. Moreover, the latter pack can be charged by a DC charger in 30 minutes.
