The BYD Xia minivan revealed its interior at the Guangzhou Auto Show with heated and ventilated third-row seats. Its second-row seats support zero-gravity mode to ensure the driving comfort of the passengers. The BYD Xia minivan will enter China in Q1 2025 with a price range of 289,900 – 350,000 yuan (40,100 – 48,400 USD).
The BYD Xia is a long-anticipated minivan that was first revealed at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 30. In late September, BYD dealers started taking pre-orders for this model with a 2,000 yuan (280 USD) deposit. On November 15, BYD Xia revealed the interior at the Guangzhou Auto Show, teasing the market launch in Q1 next year.

The BYD Xia interior has seven seats with a 2 + 2 + 3 layout. Its second-row captain chairs boast the zero-gravity mode. They can be adjusted to achieve a neutral spinal posture. Other features of the BYD Xia second-row seats include electrically powered leg support, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The second-row passengers have a large screen mounted on the ceiling and a fridge.
The third row of the BYD Xia also offers some comfy features like heating and ventilating. The BYD Xia’s rear seats can move 10 cm to enlarge the trunk space. They also can be folded, forming a flat floor. It is a rare feature in the minivan class.
The front row of the BYD Xia follows the cabin design of the recently launched Denza Z9. It has three screens in the center console and a gear shifter behind the wheel. The center tunnel of this minivan comprises a block of physical buttons, wireless phone charging pads, and a pair of cup holders.

The BYD Xia is a large car with dimensions of 5145/1970/1805 mm with a wheelbase of 3045 mm. For clarity, it is 105 mm shorter than the BYD’s flagship minivan Denza D9. The BYD Xia will adopt the DiPilot ADAS system and the DiLink 150 cockpit system. Its suspension adopts a DiSus-C electromagnetic system with adjustable softness.
The BYD Xia adopts a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine for 115 kW (154 hp). Its electric motor provides up to 200 kW (268 hp). The Xia minivan has a 20.4-kWh LFP battery for 80 km of electric range. The Xia MPV has a fuel consumption of 6.5 L/100km.
The BYD Xia minivan will enter the Chinese market in the first quarter of 2025. It will rival other plug-in hybrid MPVs like the GAC Trumpchi E9, which has become one of the fastest-charging minivans, with a claimed 30-80% SoC charge of around 8 minutes.
