The Stellantis-backed Leapmotor Chinese NEV brand’s sales reached an all-time high of 48,006 units in June 2025. Founded in 2015, this brand reached the 800,000th vehicle delivery milestone on June 18. Last month, its sales continued to accelerate.

In 2024, one of the world’s leading automakers, Stellantis, acquired 20% of Leapmotor. The two parties created the Leapmotor International joint venture with Stellantis holding 51%. With support from the fifth-largest automaker by sales volume, Leapmotor managed to boost its sales volume.

Leapmotor’s sales new high

On July 1, Leapmotor announced it sold 48,006 units in June. It is a 138.65% year-over-year increase. Leapmotor also sold 6.52% more cars than in May 2025. In the first half of 2025, the Stellantis-backed Chinese startup sold 221,664 vehicles. This sales data includes both domestic and overseas sales.

Leapmotor didn’t specify its overseas sales volume in H1 2025. However, this company exported 17,200 vehicles from January to May 2025. Leapmotor officials underlined that it is the highest result among Chinese new energy vehicle startups.

In 2024, Leapmotor sold 293,700 vehicles. This year’s sales boost is partly caused by the launch of the Leapmotor B10 compact electric crossover. Moreover, Leapmotor launched the updated C10 and the updated C16 SUVs. In 2025, Leapmotor’s sales goal is 500,000 – 600,000 cars. There is a high chance this automaker will reach this threshold due to the imminent launch of the B01 mass-market sedan and the upcoming car sales boost, typical for the end of the year in China.

Leapmotor also aims to solidify its position in Europe this year. Therefore, the automaker plans to establish over 700 locations across key importer markets. It is worth mentioning that Leapmotor already operates more than 400 sales outlets in 13 European countries. The brand currently sells two models internationally: the T03 small electric car and the C10 SUV. In the future, Leapmotor will launch the B10 urban crossover internationally.
