On April 18, 2025, BYD’s Ocean Network announced the pre-sale of its new mid-to-large SUV model, the Sealion 07 DM-i Intelligent Driving Version. The vehicle is available in three variants with pre-sale prices ranging from 189,800 to 229,800 yuan (26,300 to 31,800 USD).

The Sealion 07 DM-i features BYD’s Ocean Aesthetics design language, incorporating wave and water drop elements to create an elegant and technologically sophisticated appearance. The vehicle measures 4,880/1,920/1,750mm in l/w/h with a wheelbase of 2,820mm, offering a spacious five-seat layout.

The interior, designed around the “Ocean Cockpit” concept, features a floating centre console and instrument panel, complemented by iceberg-shaped control buttons that blend luxury with technology.

A standout feature is the world’s first elevating and retractable drone landing pad, enabling deep integration between drones and vehicles. The system supports dynamic takeoff and landing, precise landing, and intelligent charging functions. The drone can be controlled with one key and offers features such as follow-me filming, air-ground dual photography, and quick charging.

All variants come equipped with the DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system. The 150 Smart Navigation and 150 Smart Navigation+ models feature the DiPilot 100 (God’s Eye C) three-camera version, while the 135 High-Performance Intelligent Driving version includes the DiPilot 300 (God’s Eye B) laser version with enhanced capabilities such as traffic light recognition and autonomous lane changing.

Built on BYD’s latest plug-in hybrid platform with fifth-generation DM technology, the vehicle offers both two-wheel and four-wheel drive options. It boasts impressive fuel efficiency with NEDC combined fuel consumption as low as 4.7l/100km when the battery is depleted. The maximum combined range reaches 1,320km on a full tank and a fully charged battery.

The DiSus-C intelligent body control system is standard across all models. It automatically adjusts suspension stiffness according to road conditions, balancing comfort and handling performance.

Regarding comfort features, the Sealion 07 DM-i includes a hot and cold refrigerator, ventilated and heated seats for front and rear passengers, a massage function for front seats, and electric leg support.

Safety features include a high-strength body structure, BYD’s Blade Battery, 10 airbags as standard, and various driver assistance systems, including IPB intelligent power braking, driver monitoring, and 360° high-definition panoramic transparent imaging.
