The Zeekr 9X flagship plug-in hybrid crossover from Geely will be released on July 9 in China, revealing core specs and technologies. This 5.2-meter luxury car, boasting an electric range of 380 km, will go on sale in Q3 this year.

The first Zeekr-branded model was launched in China by Geely Holding Group in 2021. It was the 001 electric station wagon (estate). Nowadays, its model line comprises seven models. On Jun 16, Zeekr produced 500,000 cars in China. Soon, this brand will introduce its ultimate flagship to the local market. It is the Zeekr 9X SUV. The pre-production variant of this model was shown at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025.

Zeekr 9X July 9 premiere

The Zeekr 9X will be released on July 9 in China during the technology showcase event. The company announced the official broadcast on June 17, sharing photos of the 9X in white. Previously, this model was shown only in black.

It is expected that Zeekr officials will disclose more information about the 9X’s specs and tech. It was previously disclosed that this luxury SUV adopts a high-voltage 900V system and a CATL-made Freevoy battery pack for a 380 km range. This battery supports 6C charging, which means it can be charged at a rate six times the capacity. This tech supports a full charge in ten minutes.

The Zeekr 9X has a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 2-liter internal combustion engine for 205 kW (275 hp). Its thermal efficiency reaches 46%, just 0.5% behind BYD’s DM-i 5.0 system. The ICE of the Zeekr 9X is complemented by two electric motors. The front e-motor boasts a peak power of 290 kW (389 hp). The rear one generates 370 kW (496 hp). The car’s chassis adopts a dual-chamber air suspension, a dual-valve continuous damping system, and a 48V active anti-roll bar. The car’s maximum ground clearance is 288 mm.

Another highlight of the Zeekr 9X is the flagship G-Pilot H9 driver’s assistance system. It comprises five LiDAR sensors and two Nvidia Drive Thor chips. The total computing power of this system reaches 1,400 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second). Other features of the G-Pilot H9 include 13 cameras and 3 mm-wave radars. The Zeekr G-Pilot H9 is called the L3-ready model.

The Zeekr 9X is a full-size crossover with dimensions of 5239/2029/1819 mm. Its wheelbase reaches 3,169 mm. The car adopts the design language of the previously launched Zeekr 009 minivan. It has a large chrome-plated grille. The Zeekr 9X also has 22-inch wheels, large LED headlights, and a taillight ring.

Previously, the Zeekr 9X’s interior was spotted in China. It has a 30-inch 6K screen in the center console. Another feature of the Zeekr 9X is a gear shifter mounted behind the wheel. The Zeekr 9X will reportedly be available in two interior layout variants. The entry-level model will offer 6 seats. There will also be a Zeekr 9X Grand edition with four seats inside.

The Zeekr 9X will enter China in Q3 this year. Its price range is expected to lie between 500,000 – 1,000,000 yuan (69,640 – 139,280 USD).
