Geely Auto Group reported July sales of 130,124 new energy vehicles (NEVs), reflecting a 120.4% year-on-year increase and a 6.3% recovery from June, when NEV sales dipped to 122,367 units. The July performance also narrows the gap with May’s peak of 138,021 units, marking a return to growth momentum. NEVs, including battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, accounted for 55% of Geely’s total monthly sales of 237,717 units.

Cumulative NEV sales between January and July exceeded 850,000 units, up 126% from the same period in 2024. This positions Geely among China’s fastest-growing legacy automakers in the electrified segment, with sustained double-digit growth across both pure electric and hybrid categories.

Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) made up the majority of Geely’s NEV sales in July, with around 90,000 units delivered, up 192% year-on-year. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) reached 40,100 units, a 42% increase over the previous year. The company attributed this momentum to strong demand across its multi-brand strategy, including Geely, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr.

The Galaxy A7 will launch on August 8.

Leading the growth was the Galaxy sub-brand, which recorded 95,043 units in July, representing a 237% year-on-year increase. NEV models, such as the Geome Xingyuan, alone delivered 44,286 units for the month. Geely Galaxy E5 (known as Geely EX5 internatinally) recorded sales of 13,816 units in July, maintaining an average monthly sales volume above 10,000 units. Meanwhile, premium EV brand Zeekr added 16,977 units in July, an 8% rise compared to last year.

Geely also advanced its NEV technology roadmap in July. The upcoming Galaxy M9 will debut a new AgentOS-powered intelligent cockpit with AI-based human-machine interaction, showcased as a key exhibit at WAIC 2025. The company’s latest hybrid platform, SEA Hybrid (Haohan Hybrid) technology, supports 6C ultra-fast charging and a 380-kilometre pure electric range, set to launch first in the Zeekr 9X.

Looking ahead, Geely plans to release five new hybrid models in the second half of 2025. The Galaxy A7 will launch on August 8 with a pre-sale price starting at 97,800 yuan (approx. 13,650 USD). Zeekr 9X pre-sales will begin later this month, featuring five lidar sensors and dual AI chips. Lynk & Co’s upcoming 10 EM-P will also target the intelligent hybrid SUV segment.
