The Geely Galaxy V900 minivan was exposed in China by the local Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is the EREV counterpart of the previously launched all-electric LEVC L380 MPV, which is set to launch in the UK next year. This 8-seat MPV can run up to 202 km in BEV mode.

Geely launched the LEVC L380 electric minivan in July 2024. This model turned into a flop with 1,685 units delivered from September 2024 to February 2025, according to China EV DataTracker. In March 2025, Geely launched the LEVC L380 for the second time in China under the Geely Galaxy umbrella. Its price slid by 79,900 yuan (11,220 USD). Therefore, the Chinese automaker is prepared to launch the EREV variant of this minivan under the new name.

More about the Geely Galaxy V900

The Geely Galaxy V900 follows the design language of the electric L380. The new model also has LEVC badges around the body. This marketing decision can lead to confusion among customers. Other highlights of the EREV model include a LiDAR sensor on the roof and a large grille. This MPV adopts an active air intake in the front bumper. Its headlights are integrated into the grille, and the running lights of the V900 sit under the bonnet.

The Geely Galaxy V900 has rear sliding doors and a flat roofline. Another highlight is the blackened pillars and roof. From the back, the V900 adopts a distinguishing taillight unit and a small wiper. Dimensions of the Geely’s newest MPV are 5360/1998/1940 mm. It is 10 mm longer than the large Li Mega minivan. The V900 rides on 18-inch or 20-inch wheels. This model could be optionally equipped with power side steps.

Geely Galaxy V900 seat layout variants

The interior of the Geely Galaxy V900 comes standard with a 2+2+2 layout. However, it is optionally available with the fourth row of seats (a 2+2+2+2 layout). The six-seat model’s trunk offers a depth of 919 mm. The eight-seat variant offers a depth of 347 mm. However, the fourth-row seats can be folded flat thanks to the floor recess. Depending on the seat layout, the Galaxy V900’s curb weight lies in a 2,910 – 3,030 kg range. The gross weight is 3,390 – 3,660 kg.

Geely Galaxy V900 powertrain

Previously, CarNewsChina had assumed that the Geely Galaxy V900 would receive a PHEV powertrain variant, similar to other Galaxy-branded models. However, this model appeared to be a range extender. It has the 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol-powered BHE15-CFZ engine for 120 kW (161 hp) under the hood. There is no information about the electric motors of the V900. The car’s top speed is 190 km/h.

The entry-level Geely Galaxy V900 features a CALB-made ternary NMC battery with a capacity of 43.3 kWh. Its curb weight is 258 kg. Depending on the seat layout, the V900 with this pack can run up to 165 – 172 km in electric mode. The top-trim MPV adopts a CATL-made ternary NMC battery for 50 kWh. This variant’s electric range is 195 – 202 km. Fuel consumption of the V900 with a drained battery is 7 – 7.2 liters per 100 km.

The Geely Galaxy V900 will most likely enter the Chinese market this year. Bearing in mind its electric variant was set to launch in the UK in 2026, there is a high possibility that the Chinese automaker will introduce this vehicle to the UK buyers with two powertrain options: BEV and EREV.
