The Zeekr 9X plug-in hybrid full-size SUV from Geely Automobile piles up at the factory ahead of the sales launch scheduled for September 29. This model started presales on August 29 with a price range of 480,000 – 570,000 yuan (67,470 – 80,120 USD), receiving around 43,000 reservations in one hour.
Zeekr was founded in 2021 as a luxury electric brand under Geely Automobile. It previously sold only pure electric cars. However, Zeekr followed the growing trend for plug-in hybrids in China. The Zeekr 9X became the brand’s first PHEV.
Zeekr 9X piles up at the factory
On September 17, Zeekr officials shared photos of the 9X crossovers piling up at the factory. In these pictures, we can see vehicles finished in black and white. Some cars adopt a blackened front grill and rear pillars. The large SUV has two 22-inch wheel design variants. Other highlights of the manufactured cars include a two-segment panoramic roof, a LiDAR sensor, and a high bonnet line.
Zeekr disclosed that the 9X crossover will start sales on September 29. Later, this SUV will enter global markets. The 9X SUV is temporarily available for purchase with the Naim acoustic system for 32 speakers

The Zeekr 9X is a full-size crossover with dimensions of 5239/2029/1819 mm. Its wheelbase stretches to 3,169 mm. It adopts five body color options: black, white, silver, gray, and purple. The Zeekr 9X’s cabin offers three color combinations: deep blue, beige, and brown. It adopts six seats with a 2+2+2 layout. Its center console adopts a large block of two 16-inch screens. Other features are a 47-inch augmented reality head-up display and a ceiling-mounted 17-inch 3K display.
The entry-level Zeekr 9X adopts a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It offers a combination of a 2-liter ICE and two electric motors for 660 kW (885 hp). It is powered by two battery variants for 55 kWh and 70 kWh. The top-trim model has the same ICE and three electric motors for 1,030 kW (1,381 hp). It speeds up to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds.
