The updated Zeekr 001 electric liftback from Geely started presales in China with a peak power output of 680 kW (912 hp). Its zero-to-hundred acceleration time is 2.83 seconds. The 2026 model year Zeekr 001 boasts 12C DC charging and up to 810 km of CLTC range.
The Zeekr 001 was initially designed as a concept car for the Lynk & Co brand. However, it was released under the Zeekr brand in 2021. This liftback stands on the SEA modular architecture. In February 2024, the Zeekr 001 facelift entered the Chinese market with a power boost and enhanced equipment. On September 23, 2025, the updated 2026 model year Zeekr 001 became available for order in China.

The updated Zeekr 001 applied for a sales license in China in August 2025. It retains the design language of the outgoing model. The Zeekr 001 adopts distinguishing running lights, headlights in the front bumper, and a sleek roofline. Dimensions of the Zeekr 001 are 4977/1999/1533 mm with a wheelbase of 3,005 mm.
The updated Zeekr 001 adopts a dual-chamber air suspension that can be adjusted by 85 mm. The car’s ground clearance is 206 mm in the highest mode. The brand’s representatives highlighted that this liftback became more suitable for off-roading. The Zeekr 001 has a CDC continuous damping control system.
Another benefit of the 2026 model year Zeekr 001 is the G-Pilot H7 driver assistance system. It comprises 31 sensors, including a LiDAR. They send information to the Nvidia Thor-U chip. Its peak computing power reaches 700 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second). For comparison, the outgoing Zeekr 001 featured the G-Pilot H5 system, which included two Nvidia Orin-X chips, capable of 508 TOPS.
However, the powertrain system became the main improvement of the updated Zeekr 001. Its entry-level RWD variant features a single electric motor producing 370 kW (489 hp) at the rear axle. It is powered by two battery options: LFP for 95 kWh and ternary NMC or 103 kWh. The CLTC range lies between 710 and 810 km. This model has a peak speed of 280 km/h, according to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The 4WD variant of the Zeekr 001 has two electric motors (310+370 kW) with a combined peak power output of 680 kW (912 hp). According to Zeekr, its zero-to-hundred acceleration time is 2.83 seconds. We will remind you that the outgoing model offers 580 kW (777 hp). And the model for the European market has a peak power output of 400 kW (536 hp). It has the same two battery options for 640 – 762 km of range under CLTC conditions. The top speed is 280 km/h.
Updated Zeekr 001 presales
The updated Zeekr 001 became available for order via a 2,000 yuan (280 USD) deposit. There is no information about the final price of this liftback. However, it will arrive at dealers across China on October 4, with the official launch and deliveries scheduled for October 11. More on the updated Zeekr 001 as we get it.
Meanwhile, we will highlight that the outgoing Zeekr 001 has a price range of 259,000 – 329,000 yuan (36,400 – 46,240 USD). According to China EV DataTracker, Zeekr sold 24,126 units of this sporty liftback. For clarity, its core rival, Denza Z9 GT, sold 6,328 units in the same period.
