Changan Nevo Q05 EV starts pre-sale: 4nm cockpit chip, 3C battery, max 506km range
On October 15, Changan officially opened its new compact pure electric SUV, the Nevo Q05, for pre-orders. The new car features a 4nm automotive-grade cockpit chip, 3C battery packs with cells from CATL, and a maximum range of 506 km. As an export model, the Nevo Q05 will also be launched in the overseas markets.
Consumers who pay a 199 yuan (28 USD) deposit will receive a 2,000 yuan (280 USD) discount from the purchase price in China. Based on the current price range of the Nevo Q07, which is between 129,800 and 171,800 yuan (18,200 to 24,100 USD), the Nevo Q05 may be priced between 110,000 and 130,000 yuan (15,400 to 18,200 USD).
Dimensionally, the Nevo Q05 measures 4435/1855/1600 (1595) mm (l/w/h), and the wheelbase is 2735 mm, boasting 990 mm of rear headroom and 320 mm of rear kneeroom.
Consumers can choose from five exterior paints: green, purple, silver, gray, and white.
The standard trunk volume is 540 L, and can be expanded to 1,380 L after the rear seats are folded down.
Additionally, the high-end trim is equipped with a roof lidar, supplemented by 11 high-definition cameras, three millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars to realize advanced driving assistance on highways and urban roads.
Inside, the 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen is powered by a 4nm automotive-grade MT8676 cockpit chip with 5G communication capabilities from MediaTek and is compatible with mobile phone connectivity platforms including Huawei HiCar, CarPlay, CarLink, and Honor Connect.
The front seats feature 8-point massage, ventilation, and heating functions. The co-pilot seat also comes with a leg rest and can be folded down at a maximum angle of 165°.
Other configurations include a 10.17-inch full LCD instrument panel, an 1.8 m2 panoramic sunroof, mobile phone wireless charging, eight speakers, 256-color ambient lights, and 29 storage slots throughout the interior.
Power comes from an electric motor (model TZ180XS002) with a maximum power of 120 kW (161 hp), paired with Changan’s 40.29 kWh or 51.91 kWh Jinzhongzhao (LFP cells supplied by CATL) 3C battery packs. The corresponding CLTC range is 405 km and 506 km. Under 3C fast charging, it takes 15 minutes to recharge the battery from 30% to 80%.
