The all-new Li Auto L9 Livis full-size six-seat flagship SUV revealed a 72.7 kWh ternary NMC battery from CATL for 340 km of electric range. Its fuel consumption with a drained battery is 6.4 liters per 100 km. The L9 Livis will be officially unveiled in March with a price tag of 559,800 yuan (80,685 USD).
The Li Auto L9 Livis retains the design language of the first-gen model launched in 2022. However, it has a new front bumper, new flush door handles, and a redesigned taillight unit. Its dimensions are 5255/2000/1810 mm. The new-gen model is 37 mm longer, 2 mm wider, and 10 mm higher than its predecessor. The wheelbase of the L9 Livis is 20 mm longer at 3,125 mm.
It is worth noting that the Li L9 Livis can tow up to 1,500 kg. The first-gen model wasn’t capable of such actions. The Li Auto L9 Livis rides on 21 or 22-inch wheels. Its curb weight lies between 2,755 and 2,835 kg, depending on equipment. The full weight of the vehicle is 3,435 kg. The L9 Livis’ approach and departure angles are 20 and 22 degrees, respectively.
Powertrain details
The L9 Livis adopts a new 1.5-liter L3E15CA engine manufactured by Li Auto Suzhou branch. This ICE replaced the L2E15M engine supplied to Li Auto by Power Xinchen, which is a well-known engine parts supplier for the BMW Brilliance factory in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. The new L3E15CA has a peak power output of 115 kW (154 hp), similar to its predecessor.
There is no information about the electric motors of the Li Auto L9 Livis. However, it was revealed during the domestic homologation process that this SUV will adopt a 72.7 kWh ternary NMC battery from CATL. The car with 22-inch rims is capable of running up to 322 km in electric mode. A modification with 21-inch wheels boasts a BEV range of 340 km under unknown conditions.
The top speed of the Li Auto L9 Livis is 200 km/h. It is 20 km/h faster than the first-gen car. After its battery is drained, the Li L9 Livis consumes 6.4 liters of fuel per 100 km. However, the new L3E15CA consumes only 0.23 liters per 100 km in hybrid mode.
It was previously revealed that the Li Auto L9 Livis adopts the 800V active suspension that can lift each wheel independently with a force of 10,000 Newtons. The new model boasts steer-by-wire and four-wheel steering technologies alongside a fully electronic mechanical braking (EMB). One of the major highlights of the Li Auto L9 Livis is a staggering computing power of 2,560 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second).
