Xiaomi said delivery capability for its YU7 electric SUV has improved significantly, with some buyers reportedly able to take delivery within as little as 2 hours of placing an order for existing stock.

The update marks a major reduction in delivery lead times for the YU7 lineup. At launch, Xiaomi’s estimated wait times were 53–56 weeks for the standard YU7, 48–51 weeks for the YU7 Pro, and 33–36 weeks for the YU7 Max.

Xiaomi’s official ordering platform now shows substantially shorter timelines. The standard YU7 currently has an estimated wait of 7–10 weeks, while the Pro version is listed at 9–12 weeks. The flagship Max variant is currently estimated at 11–14 weeks.

Delivery process updated

According to Xiaomi, buyers can complete the purchase process through the Xiaomi app by selecting a vehicle and paying a deposit. A delivery advisor then coordinates vehicle allocation and confirms purchase details before the car is prepared for handover.

The company said that in some cases, inventory vehicles can now be picked up the same day. Xiaomi also stated that some customers may be able to complete the entire purchase and delivery process within two hours.

For customised vehicle configurations, Xiaomi currently estimates delivery times of around 4–7 weeks.

Pricing and incentives

The Xiaomi YU7 was launched on June 26, 2025, as Xiaomi’s first SUV model. The standard YU7 starts at 253,500 yuan (about 37,160 USD), while the YU7 Pro starts at 279,900 yuan (about 41,030 USD). The YU7 Max starts at 329,900 yuan (about 48,360 USD).

Xiaomi said customers placing orders before May 31, 2026, can receive purchase benefits worth up to 63,000 yuan (about 9,240 USD). Existing-stock vehicles are also eligible for either a three-year zero-interest financing plan or a five-year low-interest financing plan.

YU7 GT and overseas expansion

Xiaomi has also continued testing the upcoming YU7 GT performance variant. Earlier sightings in China showed multiple camouflaged YU7 GT crossovers near Xiaomi facilities and on public roads ahead of launch preparations. Previous reports indicated the high-performance SUV could deliver up to 990 hp.

Separately, Xiaomi recently opened a European research and development centre in Munich, Germany. The facility includes former engineers and executives from BMW, Porsche, and Lamborghini.
