The best spy shots so far of the upcoming Dongfeng-Yulong Luxgen S5. It will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and it will be launched on the Chinese auto market in early 2013. The Luxgen S5 is called ‘Luxgen 5′ in Taiwan where it debuted in December last year.

Luxgen cars are made in Taiwan by the Yulong Group and in China by the Dongfeng-Yulong joint venture. The Luxgen 7 SUV was launched in China in October last year, the Luxgen MPV will be launched very soon and Luxgen is working on a new smaller wagon-like SUV which will be launched in 2013 as well.

There will be two engines: 1.8 turbo with 150hp and 230nm or a 2.0 turbo with 170hp and 256nm. Gearbox: 6-speed automatic. Price will start around 130.000 yuan.
