Ford has applied for patent on the Ford Mondeo Wagon for the China car market. The Mondeo Wagon is expected to launch sometime in 2014. The wagon will be imported into China because the market for station cars is still very small, with most Chinese car buyers going for a sedan, no matter how hip the wagon is back in old Europe.

The Ford Mondeo sedan is made in China by the Changan-Ford joint venture, the new Mondeo was launched on the Chinese auto market in August. Price for the sedan ranges from 79.800 to 265.800 yuan, price for the imported wagon will start around 200.000 yuan.
