The Mercedes-Benz GLK is up until now imported in China. These are the very first spy shots of the China-made GLK that will roll of the line at the Beijing-Benz joint venture very soon, the China-GLK will likely debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. The GLK can then compete on price with the China-made Audi Q5.

The Chinese GLK will have one special engine: the 1.8 turbo for a cheap entry level model. Other engines: 2.0 and 2.6, the bigger 3.0 and 3.5 will not be made in China. Price is expected to start under 350.000 yuan.
