Toyota will bring the new RAV4 EV and iQ EV to the Chinese auto market next year, both as imports, according to a report from Cheshi.com. The RAV4 EV is developed with Tesla Motors. According to new regulations by the Chinese government to promote electric cars customers will receive up to 60.000 yuan subsidy on electric cars. The subsidy is for every electric car, imported and locally made. Biggest problem for sales however still remains; there are simply not enough charging stations in China’s city’s and it doesn’t look like this will change any time soon.
