SAIC basically messed things up, the only thing they got out of it is the Roewe W5 based on the SsangYong Kyron. The new Korando will be imported, SsangYong does not have a partner for local production in China.

  1. Besides SAIC, Ssangyong has had a number of affiliations in China including Jiangling, Guangzhou Auto, Xindadi(Xunchi), and Huizhong, a subsidiary of SAIC. But none seemed to jell for them. What a pity..
