Spy Shots: Hawtai B21 testing in China

Published on October 23, 2011 by Tycho de Feijter

The Hawtai (aka Huatai) B21 sedan debuted as a concept on the 2010 Beijing Auto Show and the production car saw the light at the April 2011 Shanghai Auto Show. The B21 was expected to hit the China car market before the end of this year but it will be delayed until somewhere next year.

These new spy pics also show the logo back on the bonnet, like the original concept and unlike the Shanghai ‘production car’ where the logo sat in the middle of the grille. Power will come from a 1.8 turbo from SAIC and Hawtai will offer a 2.0 diesel for export. Hawtai is also working on a station wagon based on the B21.
