The new Mazda CX5 will be made in China, local production at the Chang’an-Mazda joint venture will start in 2013. Until then, for those who really can’t wait, Mazda will offer the CX5 as an import on the Chinese market.

One silver CX5 was spotted testing on Chinese roads. The imported CX5 will be listed early next year. There will be only one engine: a 2.0 with 165hp and 210nm, mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
