Early Friday morning here in Beijing, and the day starts very well with this fine pink Hello Kitty Mini, seen parked in front of the Worker’s Stadium in the capital. The owner, a little Missy from about 25 years old, was having her hair cut in a barber shop which is just visible on the left of the pic. She saw me taking photo’s and started waving her hands in some happy way, her head being under a hair dryer. She clearly liked me so I took a few pics more.

The Mini-brand is very popular in China, mostly among girls but the new Countryman gets some men to the showrooms as well. All Mini’s are imported into China and therefore a bit expensive, price for the base Mini One starts at 225.000 yuan. But no matter the money, BMW’s marketing is so brilliant that the Mini’s fly outta door. Competition comes from the Volkswagen Beetle, the Fiat 500 and a bit from the Audi A1.
