Speculative renderings of the production version of the Changan CS95 SUV. The CS95 debuted as a concept on the Shanghai Auto Show in April. The production version is expected to hit the China car market sometime next year. The renderings show a spectacular car with strong curved lines and a grille with a hint of Infiniti.

The CS95 concept. At the show, Changan said the CS95 was ‘powered’ by a hybrid power train consisting of a 3.5 liter V6 with 245hp and 317nm and a electric motor of 167hp and 335nm, mated to an 8-speed automated manual. Size of the concept: 5380/2120/1770, wheelbase is 3330.

The hybrid seems unlikely for the production version, but the 3.5 liter V6 is for real. Other engines will include the 180hp 1.8 turbo that will also power the Changan CS75 SUV and a new 2.0 turbo with about 220hp. Price of the CS95 will start around 160.000 yuan.
