Public Toilet is a giant Camera in China

Brilliant modern architecture, seen in the great city of Chongqing in central China. A public toilet was designed to look like a giant camera, complete with a large lens and a flash light. The toilet stands in the Shiqiaopu Digital City, an area with zillions of shops selling all kinds of electronics and computers.

The doors are located at the back. Typical Chongqing tricycle taxi just passing by. The toilet has been designed by a team of the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute (web). Design is based on a very interesting philosophy, saying the design of a public toilet should reflect the local economic and cultural features of the region. This idea has the power to totally transform the public toilet experience in China! As for Shiqiaopu Digital City, there are plans for other public toilets that look like computers, power transformers, mobile phones, and robots. Let ’em come…
