The brand new Cowin Auto C3 sedan has been launched on the Chinese auto market, shortly after its debut on the 2014 Guangzhou Auto Show. Price starts at 45.800 yuan and ends at 51.800 yuan, and that makes the Cowin Auto C3 one of the cheapest sedans available in China.
A fine interior for the money. Plastics look cheap but LCD screen is huge.
Cowin Auto is a new car brand under Chery Automobile focused on making cheap vehicles for young car buyers living in third and fourth tier cities, a booming new market in China with a vast potential for zillions of sales. Cowin Auto will develop new vehicles from scratch and they will inherit several vehicles that are now sold under the Chery name. The C3 is Cowin’s first car. Next up is a ‘C3R’ hatchback with sportier looks.
The infotainment system includes a radio, sat-nav, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Blue dials are always good.
Surprisingly spacious in the back, but headroom is limited.
Lone engine is a 1.5 liter four-cylinder petrol with 109hp and 140nm, mated to a five-speed manual. Size: 4250/1726 / 1510mm, wheelbase is 2510mm.
Jumpy rear lights a fuzzy touch. Wheels look awfully small.
Cowin logo proudly on the grille.
Needs a bigger logo here.
