This is the Beijing Auto EX5, a new compact electric SUV for China. The EX5 will debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April and launch on the Chinese car market soon thereafter.

The Beijing Auto EX5 will be powered by an electric motor with 218 hp. Range will be 400 kilometers, and top speed will top out at 160 km/h. The EX5 is a five-seat car measuring 4480/1837/1673, with a wheelbase of 2665.

The usual blue detailing; blue is the color of green cars in China. The lower bumper section is interesting, as there seem to be fake-exhaust pipes on the sides. Beijing Auto wouldn’t be the only Chinese car maker to have ‘exhaust pipes’ on an electric car, good ol’ Yema does it even better.

The nose decoration is silver here but will likely be painted blue on the final production car. Price of the Beijing Auto EX5, including subsidies, will start around 180,000 yuan.
