Recently, Neta announced it discounts the 2022 Neta S sport sedan by 26,000 – 49,000 yuan (3,600 – 6,800 USD), based on trim level. The price cut has been effective since midnight of August 5. All models are also eligible for an 8000 yuan replacement subsidy.
All 2022 trim levels of Neta S received the discount – 520 Lite, 520 Standard, 715 Medium, 715 Large, and 650 4WD.

The 715 Medium version now costs 199,800 yuan (27,800 USD) – the trim is equipped with a 170 kW rear motor with a peak torque of 310 Nm, a ternary (NMC) battery from Yiwei power suitable for a 715 km NEDC range. The EV has a curb weight of 1,990 kg, which is a great value considering it carries an 84.5 kWh battery.
If you choose the top trim level 650 4WD, you will get 4WD with twin motors with a combined power of 340 kW (456 HP) and 620 Nm of torque. The acceleration from 0-100 km/h is 3.9 seconds. The NMC battery has a capacity of 91 kWh with a 650 km range. The EV’s curb weight is 2,130 kg.
Know Neta S
The Neta S is a relatively large sedan introduced at Shanghai Auto in 2021 to compete with the Tesla Model 3. Production started in 2022. The dimensions are 4980/1980/1450 mm, and a wheelbase of 2980 mm. It is longer than the XPeng P7 and the NIO ET5. The drag coefficient is extremely low at 0.216 Cd.
The Neta S sits on Hozon’s ‘Shanhai’ platform. It enables 2750-3100 mm wheelbases, the flexibility to run in front, rear, or four-wheel drive, and EREV and EV versions. The Shanhai platform isn’t specified only for sporty-performance cars. Even MPVs could be based on it.
Coming to the interior, the overall design is simple. The driver has access to an AR-HUD. The size of the large central control vertical screen is 17.6 inches, with a 2.5k resolution. The co-pilot gets a 12.3-inch entertainment screen. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip supports the computing platform.
While the discount is only for the 2022 version of S, the facelift version was revealed in June by MIIT. The car will feature the Qilin battery from CATL, suitable for a massive 1,075 km NEDC range. The single motor power will be increased to 200 kW, and the Qilin battery pack capacity will reach 117.04 kWh and weigh 588 kg.
