Zeekr 007 unveiled right before the premiere at Guangzhou Auto Show

The Zeekr 007 electric mid-size sedan from Geely was presented to Chinese outlets and bloggers right before the official presentation at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Someone can say Zeekr has spoiled the premiere. On the other hand, we can get acquainted with this model in detail.

The Zeekr 007 was revealed in a glossy gray color. Regarding styling, it stays in line with the official images disclosed earlier. The main feature of the Zeekr 007 is its headlights. The upper part of the headlight is interactive light called “ZEEKR STARGATE”. The car owner can project customizable images or text on it. Similar design elements become popular among models including Exlantix ET (Sterra ET), HiPhi X, and Aito M9. The lower part has integrated day-running lights and high beams.

The 007’s front bumper has an air intake with a honeycomb pattern. It has a sloped bonnet line that reduces the drag coefficient. On the roof, the Zeekr 007 has a LiDAR sensor. From the side, we can see that the 007 has frameless doors. Moreover, they haven’t got door handles. Instead, they can be opened with buttons on the B- and C-pillars. The newest Zeekr model rides on R20 wheels with 255/40 Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires.

From the back, the Zeekr 007 has a single taillight LED strip and a rear bumper made of glossy plastic. The element under the taillight unit also has a unique pattern. The 007 also has the illuminated “ZEEKR” inscription on the back. This sedan hasn’t got a rear window. Instead, it has a large sunroof that goes all the way down to the trunk.

The Zeekr 007’s dimensions are 4865/1900/1450 mm with a wheelbase of 2928 mm. It sits on the PMA2+ platform that derives from the SEA architecture (underpins Zeekr 001, Zeekr 009, Zeekr X, Smart #1, Smart #3, Lotus Eletre, Polestar 4, Volvo EX30, etc). According to previous information, the Zeekr 007 is powered by a 204-hp e-motor with 350-Nm torque. It speeds up to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. Later, the 4WD version will hit the market.

The interior of the Zeekr 007 was also revealed. It has a two-spoke oval-shaped steering wheel borrowed from the Zeekr X SUV. The gear selector of the 007 sits on the steering column. Behind the wheel, we can see an LCD instrument panel and an HUD. The center console of the Zeekr 007 has a large floating screen. It seems that it can move to the passenger’s side.

The center tunnel of the Zeekr 007 has a hidden compartment and two wireless charging pads. The doors of this sedan can be opened with buttons. The front seats of the 007 have a comfy pattern with independent headrests. We can see an eyeglass case mounted on the ceiling from the driving side.

The second row of the Zeekr 007 has a third headrest and an armrest. Its passengers have two USB ports and two air vents. They can open doors by pushing buttons.

All in all, the Zeekr 007 looks promising. Its price range should be about 200,000 – 250,000 yuan (27,615 – 34,520 USD). Considering that the demand for sedans among Chinese buyers is still high, the 007 can become the brand’s bestseller in the local market.
