Lynk & Co is a joint brand under Geely and Volvo, founded in 2016. Its present-day model line consists of seven models in the domestic market. Lynk & Co officially launched an updated Lynk 08 EM-P with a longer range base “Plus” model on the Chinese market on April 17th. The limited-time starting price of 179,800 yuan (24,900 USD) is a bargain compared to the previous starting price of 205,800 yuan (28,400 USD). This new model comes equipped with the LYNK “Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system” as standard, something that wasn’t previously seen in the base model.

The updated Lynk 08 EM-P maintains the same exterior design as the current model. It features sharp lines and Y-shaped daytime running lights, giving it a futuristic style with strong brand recognition. The split headlight design and the overall styling clearly indicate its identity as a Lynk & Co vehicle.

Under the hood, the Lynk 08 EM-P is the first new energy vehicle based on the CMA Evo architecture. According to the company, “It is powered by the EM-P super-range extended electric propulsion system, which offers advantages such as enhanced electric power, improved performance, superior driving control, and longer range.”

Inside the vehicle, the Lynk 08 EM-P comes standard with the LYNK Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system. It integrates two self-developed 7nm “Dragon Eagle I” chips, with each chip’s computational power surpassing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155. The combined NPUs of the two chips offer up to 16 TOPS of computing power, and the GPU provides a computing power of 1800 GFLOPS.
