Zeekr 007 GT station wagon launched in China at 27,200 USD

The Zeekr 007 GT electric station wagon was launched in China with a starting price of 199,900 yuan (27,200 USD). It is the brand’s second estate after the Zeekr 001. It boasts up to 825 km range, 637 hp, and air suspension. The Zeekr 007 GT is set to become the Global model available in Europe under the Zeekr 7 GT name.

Zeekr is a high-end NEV brand under Geely Group launched in 2021. Its current model line comprises six cars. The Zeekr 007 GT became the latest addition to this line. It aligns with the brand’s latest design language called Hidden Energy. Moreover, the 007 GT shares the SEA-based PMA2+ modular architecture with the Zeekr 007 sedan.

Station wagons weren’t traditionally popular in China as many people preferred buying SUVs. However, Zeekr VP Chu Ling explained why the company is so determined to make estates. According to him, the brand’s first model, the Zeekr 001 station wagon, became a huge success. In China, it accounts for 70% of annual station wagon sales. Thanks to a great performance, in-cabin space, and a ground clearance that matches crossover.

Zeekr proved that station wagons can be popular in China. Therefore, the company launched the second estate, or shooting brake, called the Zeekr 007 GT. It is positioned as a model below the Zeekr 001, aimed at high-tech lovers.
