Chery’s sub-brand Jetour has just launched the updated 2025 Jetour Traveler in China. A total of seven variants are available, with prices starting at 139,900 yuan (19,140 USD). The original Jetour Traveler was launched in China back in September 2023.
The 2025 Jetour Traveler receives subtle updates, including two new paint options—Glacier White and Evergreen. Other exterior enhancements include a new Champagne Gold trim package, Jetour crystal chrome badging, a Velvet Gray hood handle, and redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the updates continue with redesigned air-conditioning vents and an upgraded key fob. Jetour has also enhanced the infotainment system, improving the intelligent voice control system and giving the “Xiao Jie” voice assistant a more dynamic and visually enriched interface. These new infotainment features will be rolled out to existing owners via an OTA update.
Powertrain options are unchanged from before
Under the hood, the powertrain options remain unchanged. The Traveler is available with a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) in a two-wheel drive configuration. A more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is offered with either a 7-speed DCT (4WD) or an 8-speed torque converter automatic.
The 1.5-liter engine delivers 184 hp and 290 Nm of torque, while the 2.0-liter variant produces 254 hp and 390 Nm. Four-wheel-drive models feature Chery’s XWD intelligent AWD system.
In terms of dimensions, the Jetour Traveler measures 4,785 mm in length, 2,006 mm in width, and 1,880 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. A close rival in size is the Mazda CX-50, which measures 4,785 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,638 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,815 mm.
Like many Chinese automakers, Jetour is actively expanding its global presence under Chery’s international push. The Jetour Traveler is already available in Russia, UAE and Saudi Arabia, with more markets expected to follow as part of Chery and Jetour’s global expansion strategy.
