A fantastic Porsche Carrera GT seen in the great city of Shanghai by reader J-Wing, thank you for the pic! The Carrera GT is extremely rare in China because it was never officially sold over here, some cars however managed to kick emselves through the door via the gray market. Only last month we saw a maniac Gemballa Mirage GT arrive, in Shanghai as well. The Carrera GT was powered by a 5.7 liter V10 that pooped out 612hp and 590nm, good for a 325km/h top speed and a 0-100 in 3.7 seconds.
“Hu” C plates?
a) This car either just came to China and the owner did not have a chance yet to buy the proper license plates (monthly), b) the paperwork isn’t right and the connections were just good enough for the cheap plates or c) he or she spend all money on the car so no more left for the plates?!
Sidenote: Hu C plates are the worst possible plates for Shanghai. You are not allowed to enter anything within and including the outer ring road (S20, former A20), only outside of the ring.
Even “weidi” (other provinces) plates are better, at least you’re allowed to go into the city, even if not on the elevated roads during peak hours.
Well, those carbon clutch is not good in traffic anyway. Mind as well stay out of Shanghai ring roads.
true that, but still, nobody who can afford such a car would drive around with hu c …
true understatement
