Patent Applied: BYD-Daimler EV for China

Almost one year ago BYD and Daimler-Benz started a joint venture to make electric cars for the Chinese market. Today we can show you the very first pics of the first car. It will be a full electric likely based on the current Mercedes-Benz B-class.

Pics come from the Chinese patent bureau that is very famous for its endless stream of leaks. The patent application means the design of the first car is finalized. Earlier we heard it would be listed in 2013. Daimler-BYD will create a separate brand for the EV’s, name is yet a secret.
