Leapmotor C10 battery details

Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revealed detailed information about the Leapmotor C10’s battery. It is an LFP pack made by CALB, one of China’s biggest LFP battery manufacturers. Its capacity reaches 69.9 kWh. This pack powers a single electric motor with a power output of 170 kW (231 hp). As a result, its range reaches 530 km. The test cycle wasn’t specified. But we may assume that it is a CLTC number.

The Leapmotor’s battery is quite heavy. Its gross weight reaches 550 kg. It is a drawback of LFP packs. For example, a 97.6-kWh ternary (NMC) CATL’s battery that powers the Exeed Exlantix ET (Sterra ET) weighs 524 kilos. The Leapmotor C10’s curb weight is 1940/1965 kg.
