Detailed specs of the Zeekr 7X (CX1E) electric SUV from Geely were exposed by the Chinese regulator as this SUV applied for the sales license. It is a 4.8-meter crossover with up to 637 hp. It can also tow up to 2000 kg.
Zeekr 7X was previously revealed in official images. It follows the brand’s latest design language called Hidden Energy. Its front end adopts an interactive LCD screen called Zeekr Stargate. It can project text and images. According to previous information, Zeekr invested 140 million USD to develop this element. From the back, the 7X has a single taillight strip.
The Zeekr 7X boasts hefty dimensions of 4825/1930/1666 mm with a wheelbase of 2925 mm. With optional air suspension, its standard height is 1656 mm. It is 75 mm longer than the Tesla Model Y. The 7X also has slightly wider front and rear tracks. They are 1649 mm and 1654 mm, respectively. Thanks to small bumpers, Zeekr’s front and rear overhangs are 863 and 1037 mm. They are a bit longer than Tesla’s. And finally, the approach and departure angles of the 7X are 19 degrees.
The Zeekr 7X has eight rim variants. It can be equipped with 255/50 R19 and 265/45 R20 wheels. It also has an optional LiDAR sensor on the roof. As mentioned, air suspension is also available as an option. The 7X’s curb weight lies in the 2298 – 2475 kg range. The gross weight reaches 2800 – 2910 kg, depending on the powertrain option.
The powertrain of the SEA-based 7X SUV stays in line with the Zeekr 007 sedan. It has three options to choose from.
The Zeekr 7X will be mass-produced at the brand’s plant in Meishan, Sichuan, China. It is the same factory that assembles the Zeekr 007 sedan (see specs).
Interestingly, the Zeekr 7X can tow up to 2000 kg. But the hitch is also optional. So, the Chinese regulator revealed the Zeekr 7X would have lots of paid options like air suspension, a LiDAR sensor, or a hitch.
The Zeekr 7X will enter the market this year with 240,000 – 350,000 yuan (33,050 – 48,200 USD). Its main competitors are the Tesla Model Y, Li Auto L6, Onvo L60, BYD Sea Lion 07, and more. Previously, the Zeekr 7X was spotted during road tests in Europe, where Zeekr already sells two models (001 and X). It hints that Geely’s high-end electric brand plans to kick off overseas sales of the 7X SUV.
However, there is a problem with the name of the car. It is very similar to the BMW X7. Considering Audi’s lawsuit against Nio in Europe, Zeekr has a one-in-a-million chance to keep the “7X” name in Europe.
