The BYD Atto 3 electric SUV is a global model with a presence in around 110 global markets. In China, this vehicle is sold as the BYD Yuan Plus, named after the Yuan imperial ruling dynasty of the Middle Kingdom. After the market launch, this model turned into one of the bestselling BYD products.

The BYD Yuan Plus electric SUV was introduced in China on February 19, 2022, and sold 300,000 units within 14 months. BYD sold 200,000 Yuan crossovers more in the six following months. It took this model 25 more months to sell another half a million units. To reach this goal, BYD launched the Yuan Plus / Atto 3 in around 110 countries around the world.
It took BYD 1,391 days to achieve the 1 million Atto 3 deliveries. It means the largest Chinese automaker sold about 30 units of this model per hour. It is 719 cars per day, 5,032 units per week, and 20,129 units per month.
According to BYD, the Atto 3 (Yuan Plus) became the third model under the Dynasty series to sell 1 million units. Previously, the BYD Song (Seal-U) crossover and Qin sedan reached the same goal. Previously, CarNewsChina reported that the BYD Seagull (Dolphin Surf, Dolphin Mini) surpassed 1 million in sales in two years. This car belongs to the Ocean series under the BYD brand.
The Atto 3 (Yuan Plus) costs 115,800 – 147,800 yuan (16,100 – 20,560 USD) in China. However, this model is seemingly more expensive in global markets. For example, this model costs 899,900 – 1,049,900 baht in Thailand (27,245 – 31,790 USD). The Atto 3 in the UK is being sold for 37,705 – 39,705 GBP (50,580 – 53,265 USD). The BYD Atto 3 costs 38,990 – 40,990 EUR (44,830 – 47,125 USD) in Germany.
