Beijing Auto C70, ‘Saab 9-5’, in production in China This Year

Production of the Beijing Auto C70 will start in November this year. The C70 is based on the old Saab 9-5. Production of the the T60/C60, based on the old Saab 9-3, will start in 2012.

The C70 debuted as an electric vehicle at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show. That EV-nonsense is fortunately gone, the production versuion gets the good old Saab 2.0 turbo and 2.3 turbo powerplants. Listing is expected for early 2012, but Beijing Auto is no stranger to delays. Via: 163.com.
