What wasn’t announced?

Nio plans to have 5 new models before the first half of 2023 ends. Today we saw the first two of them, so there are three more. We already saw spy shots of the ET5 station wagon (ES5), so will this be the next one to come? Not to forget Nio Phone will be launched in spring 2023, so there is definitely lots to look for in H1.

  1. Any comment on the World’s Largest Giga Press being used to produce one piece casting part for ES8.
Also that seems to indicate importance of ES8
The Elephant in the large SUV market is Li L9. Can ES8 make a dent in L9 monthly 10,000 sales? No doubt ES8 will make a difference in Shanghai where L9 gets RMB 90,000 hike courtesy of needing Blue Vehicle License Plate from Jan 1st 2023 & having to go through Bid/Auction process. Good article

  2. Forgive me, if I see a remarkable resemblance to the Saturn VUE.
    Sorry William…..
    and, Merry Christmas!
For all of you out there who celebrate this joyous holiday.
and….., thanks very much CNC writers, especially Breevoort, for a great year of exciting China automotive industry development news. It grows and grows, like a snowball on a fast mountain descent.
