The Zeekr X is a high-end electric hatchback from Geely Group that is aimed at global markets, especially Europe. Now, Zeekr has finally unveiled the X’s interior. It has a minimalistic design, a huge floating screen and some nice features.
Fact file: the Zeekr brand and the Zeekr X
Before we will crack on with the interior shots, let’s detail the Zeekr brand. As mentioned, it sells high-end electric vehicles, based on the Geely’s SEA architecture. Its model line comprises the 001 liftback and the 009 MPV. In 2022, Zeekr sold over 70,000 units in China. And, in 2023 it wants to double its sales with a newcomer, the Zeekr X.
The Zeekr X is an electric hatchback with dimensions of 4450/1836/1572 mm with a wheelbase of 2750. Its exterior design stays in line with the Lynk & Co design language. As for its powertrain, it is similar to the Smart #1. The X with a single electric motor has RWD and 272 hp. As for the AWD version, it has 428 horses. The battery is also similar to the Smart #1. It is ternary (NMC) for 66 kWh, good for 500-560 km of range, depending on the drive type.
Zeekr X interior
Now, we are ready to get inside the Zeekr X. As we can see, it has a really minimalistic design that differs from other Zeekr cars. The only thing that is taken from other Zeekr models is a huge 14.6-inch floating main screen. But the main screen is another quirky feature of the X. It has a rail, so it can move on the passenger side, or stay with the driver. Under the screen, there is a plug for a gamepad. It means that the front passenger will be able to play games during the drive. It looks like kids will wait in lines to sit there.
The steering wheel of the X has an oval shape and two spokes. Behind the steering, we can notice an extremely small instrument panel. But don’t worry, the X also has an HUD. We can also highlight the gear shifter on the steering column. As there is no center tunnel, the X has a lot of space in the front row of seats. The X has an armrest with a wireless phone charging pad.
Other features of the X’s interior are frameless doors, aircraft-styled window switches, a microfiber ceiling with a glass case, and a golden hook for cloths on the B-pillar. The X in the official image has got only 4 seats. We can underline that its seats look comfy, but not sporty. And it is a controversial thing, since Zeekr said this car will be able to speed up from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 second range. Without sporty seats with well-developed lateral support, it won’t be that funny to drive.
Anyway, the Zeekr X looks like a really interesting car. It will make its official debut on April 12, so we will make sure to get to know it better. Stay tuned!
