Xiaomi delivered its 200,000th unit car, the SU7 sedan, in Magenta colour, the company announced today. It took 229 days for the consumer electronic giant to deliver its first 100,000 cars and only 119 days to deliver another 100,000 units.

In total, Xiaomi delivered 200,000 units in 348 days, less than a year. Xiaomi currently sells only one model—the SU7 sedan, which launched on March 28 last year.

The Xiaomi SU7 was launched in three variants, which were joined earlier this month by the fourth variant, SU7 Ultra. SU7 Ultra is a performance version of the SU7 sedan.

Despite being on the market for about a year, Xiaomi SU7 still maintains strong demand. SU7 Pro is effectively sold out for 2025, as waiting times are currently 43 – 46 weeks.

Xiaomi deliveries are currently limited by its production capacity. The EV maker has a 720,000 square meters plant in Beijing with an annual production capacity of 150,000 cars. It started construction in April 2022 and was completed in June 2023. But this is only a first phase.

The second phase of the factory is adjacent to the first and covers a smaller area of 531,000 square meters. It started construction in September 2024 and will produce Xiaomi’s second model – the YU7 SUV.

Xiaomi SU7 starts at 215,900 yuan (29,830 USD) in China, with entry-level trim offering a 73.6 kWh battery from BYD, good for a 700 km CLTC range, and a single 220 kW electric motor mounted on the rear axle.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, launched earlier this month, starts at 529,000 yuan (73,200 USD) and packs a 1,138 kW (1,526 hp) electric motor and 93.7 kWh battery from CATL, providing a 630 km CLTC range. The 0-100 km acceleration is 2.1 seconds, and the top speed is 350 km/h.
