Didi Chuxing removed from all APP stores in China just four days after 4.4 billion U.S. IPO

Powerful Chinese regulator Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) ordered all country’s app stores to remove the app of the ride-hailing giant. CAC announced on Sunday late-evening that Didi is illegally collecting user’s data. The crackdown came only two days after CAC launched the investigation and cybersecurity review, announced out of the blue on Friday evening. It seems CAC doesn’t wish Didi executives to have a good sleep, according to the timing of its announcements. For existing users and drivers, Didi remains operational.

Concept car from GAC will start mass production under the Aion brand

Today, GAC announced through their official WeChat account they will unveil their new mass-produced car in June. The new car will be the fifth model under GAC’s EV brand Aion. The first four models were Aion S, Aion LX, Aion V, and Aion Y.

GAC Aion decided to play with us a bit and mentioned that the new EV car would be based on one of the concepts they presented in the last years but didn’t say which one. So we can only guess. Ok, the game is on.
