The Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GM8 is a highly anticipated mid-size seven-seat MPV. It will be launched on the Chinese car market in December.Price will start around $23,000, positioning the GM8 right in the middle of the booming MPV segment. Its most direct competitor will be the upcoming BYD Song Max.
The GM8 gets power from a 2.0 turbo with 201 hp, mated to a six-speed #DCT.

The Trumpchi GM8 certainly looks impressive from the outside, stylish and with an enormous shiny grille up front. Design at Guangzhou Auto seems to be getting better with every new car they launch.
It looks like the MPV segment is fast becoming as interesting as the better known SUV segment. Even now, MPVs are already stealing sales from SUVs, and the MPV numbers will only get bigger in the future.
