On January 27th, Zeekr officially announced that it has delivered a total of 15,000 vehicles overseas with the 15,000th vehicle being delivered in Australia. Zeekr achieves this landmark after expanding to its first overseas market in 2023 in Europe with Sweden as its first overseas market.

The company currently operates in Sweden, Denmark, France, Norway, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and others with Singapore as its most recent entry. Zeekr additionally operates an overseas R&D facility and global design center both located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Zeekr has stated that it plans to establish 100 sales stores and 70 service centers overseas in 2025. The company intends to build 15 flagship stores in key metropolitans such as Sydney, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Dubai. The company aims to provide local users with localized service experience as Zeekr establishes itself in new local markets.

The company currently has a total of 538 total stores around the world and aims to cover more regions in Europe, Oceania, Latin America, and Africa. Zeekr is also planning on entering markets close to home like South Korea, which is notoriously competitive given the dominance of local brands like Hyundai and Kia.

In addition to entering global markets, Zeekr is also developing cars suitable for overseas markets. The new Zeekr 007 wagon variant, the Zeekr 007 GT, is projected to launch in both China and Europe in Q2 2025. The model had previously been spied going through testing in Europe early last year.

Even though the popularity of wagons have waned in Europe, where wagons have been historically popular, they still play an important role in the European market. Wagons have also found their own niche in the Chinese market with the success of models like the Nio ET5 Touring and Neta S Hunting.

Zeekr has sold a total of 222,123 vehicles in 2024, marking an increase of 87% year-over-year. President of Geely and CEO of Zeekr, An Conghui, has stated the company aims to increase sales by 100,000 targeting an annual sales of 320,000. Overseas markets will play a major role in Zeekr’s future as the domestic Chinese market matures and NEV manufacturers increasingly look to global market growth.
