The Dongfeng-Honda Ciimo debuted at the Beijing Auto Show last week and it has now officially entered the smoking hot Chinese car market. Ciimo is a sub-brand from the Dongfeng-Honda joint venture. The ‘Ciimo’ is their first car based on the last-gen Honda Civic sedan. Next op is a Ciimo SUV based on the last-gen Honda CR-V. Price for the Ciimo starts at 111.800 yuan and ends at 119.800 yuan.

Design is basically Civic except for new badges and new light-units. Developing this first Ciimo must have been very cheap indeed. Power comes from Honda’s 1.8 with 140hp, mated to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic. There will also be a 2.0 available in the future. Ciimo will use the existing Dongfeng-Honda dealer-network, when the line-up gets bigger however Ciimo might open its own dealers in China.
