The facelifted BYD F0 mini car debuted on the Salon International de l’Automobile d’Alger in Algeria, North Africa. Algeria is one of the largest export markets for BYD but the early debut is still a surprise as it was expected for the 2014 Beijing Auto Show. It also is the first time that BYD debuts a new car outside China, showing the brand is committed to its export business.

A very shiny BYD F0, seen on a car market in east Beijing. The fine F0 was sexed up considerably with a shiny purple wrap, wide racing tires, sporty alu alloys, and a Scion badge. The BYD F0 is a near 1:1 copy of the Toyota Aygo. However, a Scion-branded variant does not exist, making this BYD F0 Scion a truly interesting car…

A fiery red car, seen in Beijing. An aggressive bumper sticker, showing the owner is very angry with Japan. All about those islands and such, that happen to lie on top of oil, and straight in one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. Well, what is this motherland-loving man driving?

A very interesting BYD F0, seen by reader Holger in Shanghai, thanks for the pictures! The fine minicar is dressed up like a matte purple Batmobile with a 1.8 liter turbocharged engine. Very nice work, especially the Batman badge and the plastic-fantastic body kit. No license plates, Batman don’t need, because everybody knows Batman.
