Spy shots from the new FAW-Besturn B70, it will debut on the Shanghai Auto Show in April next year. After a many half baked facelifts the B70 finally gets a completely new bodywork, with sharper lines and a gigantic chrome grille.
The current FAW-Besturn B70, price starts at 119.800 yuan and ends at 188.800 yuan. The Besturn B70 is based on the FAW-Mazda 6. Engines: FAW 1.8 and Mazda 2.0 & 2.3. The new Besturn B70 is based again on the Mazda 6. The 1.8 and 2.0 will continue but the older 2.3 will not return.

Well the bits that we can see look pretty good. The car needs a MASSIVE improvement in perceived quality too though. The interior is currently unacceptable for a car with pretentions of being in any way “premium”.

Olay: Cheap and cheerful
Haima: Mainstream
Hongqi: Premium/Luxury
Then all the stillborn projects they can sell off to other Chinese or foreign brands for a profit to create money to develop their own platforms and engine lineup.
