General Motors has released the first official image of the all-new Buick Excelle for China. The new Excelle will launch on the Chinese car market in early H2. It is a very important car for Buick as the outgoing Excelle has continuously been in the top-5 best selling cars for many years.
General Motors has launched the Buick Excelle GX in China, a good looking compact wagon with a lot of style, and one could even call it cool. Wagons in general are cool again in China. There are fanatic wagon clubs, wagon-dedicated websites, and most importantly: wagons are popular among youngsters who consider themselves to be cool, and that is a hot market.
The Buick Excelle GX is a rather good looking wagon variant of the popular Excelle series. It will will be launched on the Chinese car market next month for about 120,000 yuan or $18,000.
A lightly camouflaged Buick Excelle sedan, seen on the bed of a truck on a highway near Shanghai by reader & master spy Chiprdan, thank you for the picture! What GM is hiding is yet unclear. The Buick Excelle received a facelift in February so another facelift seems unlikely. Earlier spy shots pointed at the possibility of a new engine.
A heavily camouflaged Buick Excelle testing in China, seen near Shanghai by reader Chiprdan, thank you for the pictures! What Buick is testing here is not entirely clear. The Buick Excelle received a facelift in February so another facelift seems unlikely. Interestingly the bonnet is made slightly higher just above the grille, working as an extra air intake. Another day, another lowrider, this is going to be a new trend in China! Here we have a very low Buick Excelle XT, seen on a local tuning show in Beijing. The automachine sits very low to the road, is painted in tasteful piano-black and stands on very fat tires with shiny 5-spoke alloys. Note green Buick Regal on the left, that’s an old friend…
The best spy shots so far of the facelifted Buick Excelle which will be launched on the Chinese auto market late this year, debut is expected for the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. New spy shots give a good view of the rear with a rather funky boot lit.
