The Fiat 500 will be listed on the Chinese auto market as an import in September. There are no plans yet to make the 500 in China. The oh so cool little car will compete with the oh so cool BMW Mini and Volkswagen Beetle, neither of which is or will be produced in China. The market for these useless cars is the same as everywhere: cool people with a small dog. The number of this sorta people is on the rise in China and will continue to rise for considerable time.
