A very stealthy Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren seen in the great city of Jinhua in Zhejiang Province. Matte gray paint makes the supercar look like a nuclear powered submarine with bad-ass atomic bombs in its bay, always ready to strike! The SLR was only exported to China late in its life so we don’t see that many around; Roadster 722S, with babe, and a matte black fighter jet. Power came from a 5.4 liter supercharged V8, pooping out 617hp and 780nm, good for a top speed of 327km/h and a 0-100 in 3.4 seconds.
Hummer might be long dead but the famous American gas guzzlers are still very popular in China. All sorts of Hummer vehicles are imported as ‘new’ via the gray circuit, usually from American dealers on the US West Coast. Here we have just such an example, seen last week on the Guangzhou Auto Show. This Super Stretched Hummer H2 monstercar comes straight from California and costs 2.95 million yuan, or 473.000 USD.
New spy shots of the FAW-Oley hatchback, based on the Oley sedan that was launched on the China car market in April. The Oley hatchback was expected to debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show last week but wasn’t there, Chinese media now say it will launched on the April 2013 Shanghai Auto Show.
A very fast Ferrari F430 Spider, wrapped in metallic-shiny-red, a scheme that sees to become fashionable in China, earlier on we met a Ferrari 612 and a Ferrari 458, partly, in the same strange color. Well, it certainly makes sure nobody will miss this Italian racehorse. Sadly we got only one pic, but much more F430: golden alloys, F430 Novitec Rosso, Spider 16M, matte-black-silver, red, a red, matte-black and a mighty Novitec Rosso 707. The F430 was powered by a 4.3 liter V8 that pooped out 490hp, good for a 315km/h top speed.
Small batch production of the new Volkswagen Jetta has begun in the new FAW-Volkswagen factory in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The new Volkswagen Jetta debuted on the Chengdu Auto Show in August but it was not on the Guangzhou Auto Show last week, fueling even more speculation about the Jetta being delayed. According to the original plan it was supposed to hit the Chinese auto market in December, that became January and it will likely be later still.
Early afternoon in Beijing, a sunny day but a hard hard wind coming i from the endless Mongolian grasslands. Time so to get hot, with some Pink! Here we have a very pinky Audi A4, seen parked a pavement in the great city of Fuzhou in Fujian Province. A very neat wrap, extending all da way over the bumpers and mirrors.
The Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi AF was expected to hatch on the Guangzhou Auto Show earlier this month, but it didn’t. Launch is now announced for the first half of next year, which likely means a debut on the April 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. We already knew the AF would get a 1.6 but Guangzhou Auto has said there will be a 1.6 turbo available as well. The 1.6 engine is developed by Guangzhou Auto, the turbo version will probably also become available in the Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi sedan. Via: 163.com.
We have Bling and we have Super Car Super Spots. Today things get even better with a Bling Super Car Super Spot™® from the great city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province. Three blinged-up supercars, a Porsche, a Maserati and a Mercedes Benz parked alongside each other at night. We start with the Porsche! A fantastic wrap with some nicely red details here and there, including the mirrors. Note license plate.
An old Chang’an minivan showing the way to a car repair shop in central Beijing, seen on a rare ‘blue sky day’ in late autumn. This sorta minivan can carry everything from humans to goods to animals. The old vans with million of miles on the clock are rarely crushed. Instead they are carefully transported to a craftsman for conversion so they can start another life, like this way-pointer in Beijing. And that is very nice, because I like to know the way, to places and all. To the left please!
Foton Motor, s subsidiary of BAIC that makes trucks and other commercial vehicles, is working on a new big-sized SUV, based on the Foton Tunland pickup truck. The SUV is code named U201 and will be launched on the Chinese auto market late next year.
