Shenzhen-based RoboSense is a provider of Smart LiDAR Sensor Systems. With a complete portfolio of LiDAR sensors, AI perception, and IC chipsets, RoboSense transforms conventional 3D LiDAR sensors with comprehensive data analysis and interpretation systems.

Robosense already supplies lidars to the WM Motor M7 and GAC Aion LX. Its main competitor is Livox (a startup from Chinese drone maker DJI) which supplies lidars to the Xpeng P5 sedan; Innovusion with main customer Nio and its sedan Nio ET7 (deliveries to start beginning of 2022); and Huawei, which supplies lidars to the ARCFOX Alpha S HI edition and E11 from Changan high-end EV subbrand Avatr.

Part of the Geely family, Zeekr will only focus on premium electric vehicles; consequently, the 001 is the first vehicle built on Geely’s all-electric Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA).

Zeekr 001 measures 4970/1999/1560mm, with a wheelbase of 3005mm. The 001 is a big car. At 281,000-360,000RMB (44,000-56,000 USD), it’s got a hefty price tag, too. Thankfully, the available dual 400kW motors and 100kWh battery pack still allow up to 712km of the NEDC range.

Zeekr 001 started sales in October and sold 199 vehicles. In November it was already 2012 and in December Zeekr plans to more than double to 5000 cars.
