On June 12, IM Motors launched new variants of its IM LS7 pure electric SUV – Urban Fit and Urban Fit Pro, available in rear-wheel drive, priced between 289,800 – 309,800 yuan (40,500 – 43,300 USD). The appearance and interior of the new variants continue the design of the current models, with only slight differences in the functional configuration and cruising range. Delivery will start in July this year.

The LS7 is the first SUV from IM Motors and was first launched in February this year.

IM Motors claimed that the AI cockpit integrates advanced driving technology and algorithm to leverage AI to release driving anxiety. The car is equipped with 11 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 2 lidars to increase its blindspot visions, including the A-pillar blindspots.

Positioned as a mid-size SUV, the dimensions of the IM LS7 Urban Fit are 5049/2002/1731 mm, and the wheelbase is 3060 mm. The car runs on 20-inch (255/55 R20) wheels. Red brake calipers are also added to the front and rear wheels. Its coefficient of drag is as low as 0.268Cd.

The battery comes from a 77 kWh ternary lithium pack, giving it a 510 km pure electric cruising range. Furthermore, IM LS7 Urban Fit is equipped with a rear-drive motor that outputs 250 KW and 475 Nm. Its acceleration time from zero to 100 km/hr is 6.5 seconds. Its top speed is 200 km/hr. Under the Super ECO energy-saving mode, when the battery life is low around the 50 km threshold, the car can still travel for up to 80 km before the battery life is exhausted.

Coming to the interior, the half steering wheel and the triple-screen design are eye-catching, including a 26.3-inch screen for the instrument panel & central control screen, a 15.5-inch co-pilot entertainment screen, and a 12.8-inch vertical touch screen that is used to control the windows, air conditioning, etc.

Additionally, the computing platform is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and the driving assistance system is powered by a NVIDIA Orin X chip.

The car adopts a 5-seater layout. The seats are all wrapped in imitation leather and can be adjusted electronically. The front seats support heating.
