The powertrain comprises a 1.5T internal combustion engine with 112 kW output and a pair of electric motors with 165 and 200 kW output, respectively. The ternary battery comes from Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. (CATL). The 1.5T engine consumes 0.95 L/100 km. The vehicle’s top speed is 200 km/h.

The body of the new M9 version will be painted in two colors. The roof of the latest version has a LiDAR, which means it will carry Huawei ADAS. Based on the previous reports, the EREV will support 800 V charging, a Harmony 4.0 cockpit, an independent entertainment system for the front passenger, digital headlights, and other.

Last month, Huawei and SERES developed a brand applied for the sales of the M9’s electric version. The fully electric version has two motors offering a maximum output of 160 kW (front) and 230 kW (rear). It uses a ternary battery pack manufactured by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.’s (CATL) subsidiary in Sichuan. The capacity and range have yet to be revealed.

Aito has two models in the market. In September, it sold 6.708 units in retail. The M7 SUV led the brand’s sales with 5,248 units. The second model, the M5 sedan, made the rest. In the first three quarters of the year, Aito sold 37,407 units. The M7 was the leader with a 65% share. In September, the revamped version of M7 started receiving orders. The latest reports reveal the car has gathered over 60,000 orders since last month.
